Bill Maher is a Board Certified Interventionist and a Member of the National Association of Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Counselors (NAADAC) and The Association of Intervention Specialists (AIS). Maher is trained in a number of interventionist methods, but specializes in the gentle, respectful, family invitational model of Intervention, which addresses the effects of addiction on the entire family system. He is a nationally recognized expert in the field of intervention for chemical dependency and a preferred interventionist for the Betty Ford Center.

Bringing the personal experiences of more than 20 years of recovery from alcoholism and drug addiction, Bill has facilitated more 2,000 interventions with a very high success rate. As president of the Family Intervention Center of Virginia, he provides intervention services on addictions and other process disorders throughout the United States.
